flesh & fantasy | steven meisel & madonna for rolling stones 1991

:OOOOOOO *blinks 100 times* This is a spread from a Rolling Stones issue published back in 1991 featuring Madonna. I enjoy looking at old editorial spreads for inspiration and I was going through some spreads and this popped up. I don't really like to post a lot of editorials on my blog, but i just had to share this one. I love the 1930's siren feel to it, and who doesnt love Madonna? DIE!

A.M mondays

Today was a rather relaxing day at home jotting down some photo-shoot ideas and sketching. I've been wanting to do a 'Harley Quinn' meets 'Tim Burton' photo-shoot. Dark, black and red colors, I don't know I think it would be pretty cool. I like to wake up really early in the morning, drink my green tea, listen to music as loud as possible, and just draw or write whatever i'm thinking. I've been listening to Amy Winehouse 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures' album, and it's by far my favorite Winehouse album. Here is a track from the album that I LOVE! you'll love it too :]
P.S- PROPS TO MY MUSTACHE PEN!

news mews sunday!

Alright, so today i decided to head over to "News Mews" on sunset blvd. to pick up some magazines. I thought it would be a good idea to review my current favorite spring magazine covers. P.S- you should head over here for all your magazines because they have a big selection of fashion/art magazzines. ok on to the review!
1. I love vogue italia for never being scared of pushing the envelope. the black and white color block/digital art gives Laura Kampman a fierce catwoman feel that i love 2. WOO! adele scored the cover of american vogue! they obviously photoshoped the hell out of her but she looks great in that lace dress 3. supermodel kate moss on the cover of W magazine just perfection.

I was browsing the web today and i ran into this Nick Knight fashion film featuring Karlie Kloss & Topshop. take a look at it, it's pretty epic.

makeover madness | steven meisel & edward enninful for vogue iItalia 2005

This editorial was probably the one editorial that made me actually try to pursue photography as a career. Steven Meisel is by far one of the most influential photographers in the fashion industry. His knowledge of the direction where fashion is going and his appreciation for beauty makes him create the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. I hope one day i could meet with him, have some tea, and just tell him how much he has influenced me. to view the complete editorial click the link below!
